CLN Systems Just Got More Affordable

We've dropped our prices. Both Mini and Standard, whether you pay setup upfront or roll it into your subscription. Same hardware, same software, same app, same support. You just pay less for it now.

This is something we've wanted to do for a long time, and we finally can. Here's how we got there, because we think it's worth telling.

We got better at building

A CLN station runs on our own smart lock IoT and controllers, the thing that lets it sit in a building and run itself around the clock, no staff at the counter. Building that hardware well, and building it affordably, is something we've been working at hard.

And we've gotten good at it. Smarter sourcing, better design decisions, more predictable ordering. As our process matured, the real cost of building a station came down. That's the first piece of the puzzle, and it's the result of a lot of unglamorous, behind-the-scenes work by our team.

A grant that lets us pass the savings on

Here's the second piece. We're still a small company, and we're constantly developing our technology, improving the IoT, the software, the whole system. That research and development is a real cost, and until now it had to be paid for almost entirely through what we charged for hardware in 2025.

We were awarded a grant that supports exactly this kind of work. Part of our R&D is covered now, which means our pricing doesn't have to carry all of it. So instead of holding that value inside the company, we're handing it straight to you.

Put the two together, better economics and support for our development, and we could finally lower our prices while keeping the company strong enough to stand behind every station we ship. That balance matters to us.

A price we couldn't sustain wouldn't be a gift, it'd be a promise we'd have to break later.

Built to be within reach

This is the part we're most excited about. If you run a tool library, a library of things, a co-op, or a grassroots project, this new price is for you. It's our community rate, and it's the lowest we offer, because the entire reason we build what we build is that sharing infrastructure shouldn't only be for the people with the biggest budgets.

And the price is only part of how we try to help. We know grant applications and sponsorship hunts are their own kind of work, so we support community projects and NGOs in finding funding to get started, through our funding hub and hands-on help along the way. If the setup still feels out of reach, talk to us before you count yourself out. Take a look at what's possible.

Planning something bigger?

If you're a municipality or a developer, it's a different conversation, and a good one.

Bigger buildings, public use, multiple locations, compliance, procurement, long-term support from our team. Those are larger, more involved projects, so they're priced differently and scoped one by one, around what you actually need. The community rate above is exactly that, for community-scale projects. If you're planning something at scale, don't start with the price list, start with a conversation so scalability can be part of the project development.

One honest note

We won't pretend prices only ever go down. Components move, grants come and go, and we'll always price our systems so the company stays healthy enough to keep supporting every station we've ever shipped, because a station with no one behind it is just a fancy wardrobe/cupboard. If costs climb again, we'll tell you straight, the same way we're telling you now.

But today, while the price of everything else seems to be going up, we’re thrilled to be able to lower prices. The pieces lined up, and we get to pass that on. That's a good day.

If you've been waiting, this is your moment. See the new pricing, or if you're not sure which system fits, book a 30-minute call and we'll help you work it out.
